As promised, here are some of my favourites that I recently took at Fountains Abbey, Yorkshire. We walked here on Boxing Day and it was a stunning! It had been a clear night and there was frost everywhere (as you’ll be able to see in some of the pics below). The temperature stayed cold throughout the day and the frost remained wherever there was shade to hide it from the sunshine.
Every year on boxing day there is a pilgrimage from the nearby town of Aldfield. They start walking from the town church and end up at Fountains Abbey – a walk that is a few miles long. Because of this, there were hundreds of people out and about enjoying the sunshine on this particular day.
I try to avoid getting people in my photo’s as much as possible, so there aren’t many to be seen in these shots.
Keep an eye out as I’ll have some shots of the Lake District coming up in the next day or two 🙂
